amazing selection of coffee and so friendly service. obviously a work of love for the person (people? who let it run. I must smell the glasses and decide what I liked most, then my bag was weighed to order so they can decide how much to spend on a bag! will definitely be back. only the place I found in ashton who does something special. Hopefully it can go into a bigger, lasting room one day. View all feedback.
Every time I pass this place I can smell fresh coffee, finally went in the other day for a cup. There was a huge selection of coffee beans to buy and bring home, or you could get a brewed cup, cappucino/latte/mocha/etc, all the usuals, with a wide selection of sugary syrup shots to have in your coffee. I went for a latte with a hazelnut shot, turned out to be too sweet for me but my partner's cappucino with amaretto flavoured shot tasted really good. Selection of cake/cookies too but I didn't try any. The decor is really nice too! Lots of upcycled crates and copper pipes which together make an almost steampunk feel to the place. Well worth a visit.
Market Grounds may be small in size but it's big on quality, taste and value. There's a huge selection of coffee and tea waiting to be discovered here. Fresh roasted beans are ground and tamped per shot or bagged to take home for the perfect espresso without chain store bitterness or trendy high street mark-up. Iced Sang Tao One over condensed milk is a Robusta revelation and with 40% more caffeine than Arabica coffees has an exotic kick to match its Vietnamese heritage. Home-made food and friendly, knowledgeable staff compliment the excellent flavours to make this Tameside gem truly special.
