"I've have eaten here several times over the last few years. We have a trailer not more than 15 minutes from the golf course and treat ourselves to meals here a few times a summer. Whether it's the Sunday Brunch or a weeknight meal the...food is always fresh and prepared perfectly."

"Eating was pretty good, but the atmosphere didn't feel so friendly. there were signs everywhere that made us feel like we were an inconvenience. the menus say directly on them that they do not go in the ground to cook her quickly, so they sit back and relax. ok, good. there is a table on the back that had a sign on it and said not to sit there unless their party was great. there was a sign of money that you could not order after a certain time in the evening. it felt just like a large list of things that they did not allow to do that most other restaurants would kindly explain in person when it comes, rather than saying signs that do not do this all by."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at Green Acres. The owners Jackie and Jeff were very friendly and hardworking. There are 22 campsites for trailers and tents that face the water with beautiful sunrises. Fresh baking and freshly picked corn is available in the main...office. The new owners are doing a great job improving their newly acquired campground."

"My family and I spent 3 nights at this campground and had a beautiful site right on the water. Location wise, it is perfect. Not very far, maybe a 5-10 minute drive from Little Current, and a really good flea market on Hwy 6. The campground is quiet, and has a "no loud stereo anytime" rule, so if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy time by the fire, this is perfect for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a place to play some music, have some friends over and don't want to worry about being too loud, this may not be the right campground. Also worth noting is that while the campground says it is "dog friendly," you are not allowed to have your dogs off a leash at anytime, even at the dog beach - UNLESS they are IN the water. We have 2 standard poodles who we let out of the truck after a 7 hour drive when we arrived at the campsite. Because we were busy setting up the trailer, we did not think of tying them up right away but they are used to being off leash and did not leave our campsite. Within 5 minutes, the owner drove by our site and told us that if he had to tell us again to keep our dogs on a leash, that we would be asked to leave the campground. He finished by asking us, "Do you understand that? Simple right?" I completely understand this rule (that dogs must be tied), however, there is definitely a way to speak to someone nicely, without sounding like a jerk. Other things to note was that there was no hand soap in either of the washrooms the whole time we were there. The water in the showers was hot the first 2 mornings, but then the last morning we were there it was going between hot and cold. There is a $10 admission fee for day guests, which I thought was a bit much, but I guess most campgrounds charge this fee. Also, it is not free to use the dumping station, which was a first for us. We have been camping with our trailer for 4 years now and all the campgrounds we have visited, there is no fee for using the dumping station if you are camping at the site. This campground charges $20. The store says it opens at 8am but when we needed the dumping station at 9:30am (when we were leaving), the doors were locked and so we could not dump our sewage and grey water. We ended up dumping at a nearby Petro Can for $10 instead.Overall, beautiful campsite and location but very laid-back and not great service."

"The Spruce Glen Bakery well worth the diversion off of Highway 6. It is located on the main road through Wekwimikong. We were met with a warm welcome by the owners / proprietors to the barn board clad counter. An Italian espresso maker is ready to pour a fresh espresso or latte, and the cinnamon aroma of freshly baked rolls pervaded our visit. On offer was an inexpensive soup and sandwich special, we had home made split pea and ham with a distinct smokey flavour, and sandwiches - chicken salad with cranberry and egg salad with garden fresh lettuce leaves on fresh brown bread. It was all delicious and the perfect snack before we tackled the local hike to see some of the most spectacular views of the Great Lakes and channels."
