"The setting is rather unique and therfore the dinner will result pretty unique. Roman mosaics under your feet, beautiful stone walls, excellent service. Food is fine, nothing outstanding but your attention will be catched by the interiors. Great wines list. Overpriced for what you eat but one pays for the setting and surely I have left happy for the visit."

"Like the previous reviewer, we spotted this delightful little restaurant unexpectedly, as we were wandering the wonderful alleys and side streets of Assisi. We were a group of five friends and one of our members needed a light meal. We were attracted by the Zuppe di Lentil on the menu board and the cheery smiling face of the hostess at the doorway. We hoped to meet Nonna Nini, but it turns out she was the great grandmother of the present owners and was receiving her heavenly reward. Nonetheless we were made to feel immediately welcome and comfortable. The food was fantastic and with five in our party we tasted quite a sample of what was on the menu. We were uniformly impressed. As well as great food so good in fact we asked the chef to come out and take a bow), every little detail was looked after. The decor was great, including a portrait of Nonna Nini herself, and some sketching by her grandson. The wine was excellent and very well priced, the bathrooms were commodious, clean and well presented, and special provision had been made for persons with disabilities."
