"El Chante Vegano, is a Costa Rican owned fully vegan café with plentiful food and beverage options. The crispy chickpea burger with side of potatoes or half plate of bountiful salad and dressing was excellent. The owner is often there and speaks perfect English and works tirelessly to provide a great vegan dining experience. From the San Jose airport, it is a short taxi or very inexpensive Uber 3) drive to the café, located in central Alajuela, great for walking around after your meal. Vegan restaurants can be challenging to stay in business in CR so please support them! They also sell excellent organic coffee and self-designed tshirts."
