El Tapatío is my go to. It's the best Mexican restaurant in Auburn and I would even go as far as to say better than Maria's in Grass Valley.The food is excellent ? and authentic. We just had a very regrettable incident at Tapatio. We were sitting after being served drinks and chips, ready to order when some people came in with a dog in a baby stroller. They were sat right behind us. We do not like to eat indoors in restaurants with dogs. When we ask the waitress to seat them somewhere else they refused, even though they had just arrived.
