The sushi at this restaurant is top-notch, with a variety of nigiri and sashimi options, as well as impressive specialty rolls. The only downside is the lack of alcohol available, which is unusual for a sushi restaurant. However, if you're not looking to drink, this is a great spot for a tasty sushi meal. View all feedback.
A few weeks ago, we ordered takeout from Makimoto and unfortunately, the sushi wasn't as good as it was the last time we ordered from there.

Makimoto offers the best sushi in the area, rivaling even Noble Fish in Clawson. Since our local sushi restaurant, Big Wave on Baldwin Road, closed down, we have been making the drive to Makimoto to satisfy our sushi cravings. While they do not serve alcohol, I do wish they had a bar for a cold beer or sake. Despite this small drawback, the quality of the food is excellent - I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. My daughter also enjoys the noodle dishes and other menu items they offer. Makimoto is more than just a sushi restaurant, and I highly recommend trying it out. You will love it!
Great sushi! Have had an assortment rolls here and always enjoyed my meal. The miso is delicious as well. This place is usually packed during weekday lunches, for good reason
We went here for the sushi bar only and it was great!
