It is special at the end of a hard days hiking to arrive at a stunning view to a warm welcome.This is one of the best views in the Dolomites and the staff were terrific. After a hard days hiking good food was appreciated.Dinner at 6,lights off at 10. The dorms are functional rather that spacious and there are no showers. It is still a Gem that leads from and to some great routes and via ferrata. View all feedback.
What CateVENI doesn't like about Rifugio Fonda Savio:
We got there after a big trail walk. Weather was awful, windy and freezing even if it was (is) August. Like other Rifugio we 've been, we got into Fonda Savio hoping to get hot tea and hot bite, with our miniature dog under our table. Unfortunately a girl from the staff told us dogs were not allowed, not only in the sleeping area (which is normal and frankly I see why, and btw we didn 't even ask to) but not even in... The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and be served in nice weather, and there is a eating area with chairs/tables. A counter with bar stools invites you to linger.
