when I went to the restaurant, there was no one at the Hostess booth or anywhere to tell them I had a reservation on open table for two at 17:15. my friend came to the corner to see if it was me, so she could tell me where we were sitting. Great specials. Everything was prepared well and the service was very good.
We arrived and were informed the restaurant does not take reservations...even though they are on OpenTable! When I mentioned OpenTable they said it does not work with their systems. We got lucky and they were not busy but I would not have been happy if we were put at the end of a long waitlist when we thought we had a reservation. It was a Saturday night and getting a table at an alternate restaurant at that point would have been difficult. I feel the restaurant remains on OpenTable to lure people to the restaurant thinking they have a secured spot which is not true. I have complained directly to OpenTable and they had very quick response (excellent customer service) saying they would check with the restaurant this week.
When we arrived, Friday’s said they don’t honor Open Table reservations. Luckily there was a spot open at the bar, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to eat. Not honoring a reservation on a Friday night doesn’t leave someone with many options. On a side note, the bartender was excellent and the food was good.
We dined but not happy that the open table app didn't work on their kiosk system... and our reservation was not honored at time we reserved... also they indicated my Open Table points would not be given since they don't do Open Table since having problems with their systems. The manager was very pleasant about the whole issue, and apologetic, but still felt like they just trick patrons to come in with a reservation, just to make them have to wait like any other patron as first come first serve basis.
