I love forthright for the fresh ingredients they use without too much salt or sugar. I have the quinoa bowl. it was cold outside, so I asked to have looked instead of cold salad greens. it was so delicious, and I had it with an egg. my breath was happy the rest of the day! I've been wanting to try Forthright ever since I moved to Austin. Although I placed a reservation for inside, I was seated outside. This made it a bit noisy; however, the weather was lovely and the table and chairs were comfy. I ordered the avocado toast on gluten free bread. It was delicious! Fresh and simple. Nice, little cafe located in the middle of downtown area. It is tucked into a building so you may miss it if you are just passing by the area. Their specialty cocktails were delicious as well as the food!
A Diamond ? in the Heart 512 downtown Austin TX. Forthright Cafe was above and beyond amazing! The ambiance was super great music while enjoying breakfast, the food was delicious or as I say (Delicioso ? But, the service provided by Aaron was Fabulous he was on point and super friendly! This is a definite 5 location!
Great brunch here. My partner had the brunch burrito, that might have been a touch on the small side, but was very good. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs, which was plenty large and very satisfying. Great peppery taste to the gravy. Iced chai latte was super tasty and much appreciated for hot outside dining. I would have liked if ice was served with the water to help cool down, but did not request it. We were looking forward to the home made poptart but they had already run out by the time we ordered.
Very efficient staff. All the crew gives good vibes and the food is great. I recommend for breakfast. Boss looks like a patient boss, good to see happy workforce despite the stressful job
I LOVE IT HERE! I’ve never left a review for a restaurant before but they deserve it! Literally 10/1 food, staff, vibes, MUSIC even!! I had the smash burger, a mimosa, and my friend and I split a french toast because it looked good haha. AND IT WAS!! Compliments to the chef and our server. Cool mix of people. Very relaxing atmosphere. So happy we chose to come here :
