That's it! To the snake! The experience of ordering is efficient and not rushed-so awesome! We had the ribs, original sausage and crushed Brisket everything was delicious. The pages were just as delicious in their own way. Mac cheese, potato salad and Chipotle Slav (big spices)! Amazing to share with 2-4 people! View all feedback.
What abraham linan doesn't like about La Barbecue:
I thought it was pretty mid. The potato roll could have been at least warmed up slightly. Also the Sancho Loco I got was missing my chopped sausage into it. Failed to realize that after almost finishing the sandwich. Even so , the chopped brisket was semi warm. If anything tasted like Ricky’s BBQ back home. Needed a ton of bbq on the sandwich. Potato salad lacked flavor/salt. “Kimchi” also lacked salt didn’t taste mu... View all feedback.
Friends were in town and I recommend Franklins, but the reviews here were excellent and significantly less long from a potential waiting period, so we went here. Excellent good; this place stands on its own! We ordered sandwiches, mac cheese and pork ribs. The windbreak sandwiches were FANTASTIC. I would say this brisket is the best I ever had – as good or better than Franklins – but I especially loved it in a sandwich. The pickles and onions really balanced out the taste and did not make the sandwich so difficult. Loved the potatoes rolls (the additional taste of the brisket fat touch them). Pork ribs: definitely delicious soft fall from bone, although Franklin is certainly better. Mac cheese: super tasty and creamy with a great texture, without being difficult; went well with the other items we ordered. We arrived at 9:30 a.m. on a normal Saturday (open at 11 a.m.) and we were second in the line. We wanted to order at 11:15. We all have absolutely the feeling that waiting was worth it and we were happy with our timing. While you should arrive at noon at the weekend, the line seems to be going far around the block. If you are a brisket person, I think this is the best place to go in Austin. Can't wait back!
Atmosphere: I went for lunch. I was the only one inside. There is outside seating so most people were there. Nice mix of music. As I come to realize... Maybe I wasn't supposed to dine inside?
The barbecue here was amazing but the line is really long. The brisket and ribs were my favorites and the pickles had a nice kick. Would definitely go back, but would order online ahead of time (could even order days in advance if you are visiting).

Needless long line as there were many empty seats, but the service was slow, almost as they wish the waiting time. Also difficult to understand how you run out of such popular items (pork ribs and sausages) one hour after opening, seems to want the induced scarcity again. That was really the best grill I ever had. Everything from the brisket to the pulled pig to the sauces and sides was fantastic. If the induced demand is really part of the experience, then I would just handle it because the end result is really worth it.
