Contribute FeedbackNagoya, located off 620 in North Austin, received mixed reviews. While some appreciated the attentive service and delicious food, others were disappointed with long wait times and lackluster dishes. The Plum wine was a highlight, with the Mouth of Fire sushi being a crowd favorite. The restaurant's atmosphere was described as cozy and homely. Despite being hit or miss, Nagoya remains a top choice for sushi lovers in the area. For those looking for a quieter experience, visiting on slower days may be the way to go. Be sure to try the spicy edamame and crab puff appetizers if you visit.
This is one of our places for a special family holiday. Always consistently good.
Did hibachi, chef was GREAT. Food was good, need to have yum yum sauce on the table. Steak (not filet) was a little tough. Cooked to order, but just not top quality. So far my favorite hibachi place in the Austin area.Food: 4/5
Very fun time with the kids! Recommend sitting at the hibachi grill.Food: 5/5
Hibachi lunch was excellent prepared by chef. Scallops oh so tiny but pack a powerful flavor. Salmon was delicious. Honestly thought would be dry (fish, ya know) BUT it was cooked perfectly! Others had steak, chicken, pasta, rice all said was excellent. I only missed my second part of the double-portion vegetable I ordered (instead of rice or pasta) and no treat (dessert) at end of meal. I did try telling chef veggies but its hard to hear over the fan I suppose. Waiter was perfect. He wrote everything down as it did appear on my ticket. Appreciated the waiter's description of some of the menu and also ability to pay cash and get a paper receipt!
I LOVE Nagoya. I been going here for roughly 4 years the happy hours was great which they sadly got rid of. But even tho I love the service and people here. The music they play is so amazing. It's just such a homie vibe. Everyone here's is cool and food is pretty good. I wouldn't see this as a super nice place to go out to eat but as a place to have a good time yes. It's enjoyable and one of my favorite places to spend time
