My wife and I decided to get away from San Antonio to spend someplace quiet and relax poolside for a weekend. Having Knotty Deck and Bar at the Renaissance Hotel was convenient and great. Food was very good and a good sized menu. Our first meal took a while and the fries were cold. Asked for new fries and by the time we got them we were almost done with the meal. I arrived after a long morning of travel needing something but not sure what. The lunch menu had a bit of everything, although many items were identical to the dinner menu. I am not a big lunch eater, so I decided to have the tortilla soup and the shishito peppers. The soup was delicious rich broth, tender chicken (with just a hint of smokiness) but not much heat.
