"I first reviewed this gem in 2014. So I thought an update was worthwhile. I must say its not often you get to write two reviews 5 years apart but my interest in this place has not waned. Well it's still all about the coffee and it is still the best in town. And the love and passion for the beverage comes out in everything they do. Since the extension a couple of years ago there have been some steady changes for the better. In my last review I said the food was almost non existent. Bit by bit that is no longer the case. The food offering is still basic but delicious but now there is enough of it that I can happily come for breakfast or lunch and enjoy it. The other difference is that with a bit more space I now often come mid morning and get my laptop out and get a bit of work done in a really nice environment with a great coffee. In the end its still all about the coffee and its still great over the entire 5 years since my first review."

"Over priced compared to other unique fine dining experiences in SA.. Having to pay reservation fee not expected at many other SA more exceptional dining experiences. Service was not as good as expected. Some of the extra costs etc on the menu were not explained. Think you can find better value for money."

"They have a delicious fully vegan menu. Mac Daddy and After Party are our fans but you can pick anything and it will be amazing! Also try the pizzas on Fri Sat! They have a wide range of desserts and choclates."

"I loved it, my breakfast which was the Lebanese Mezze Breakfast was absolutely delicious, I was full. The atmosphere was a buzz with fresh smells coming from the kitchen, the aroma of espresso coffee, a delight, and top it off I got to meet Masterchef contestant from series 6 Rose Adam which was a pleasure. I throughly recommend The Middle Store, give yrself a treat."

"We ordered home delivery through Menulog and the pizza arrived steaming hot and on time. Friendly delivery man too. The pizza had loads of topping and good taste. There were a few minor issues which I have fed back privately to Oasis and they have said that they will look into. I will try them again."

"I purchased a seafood Easter pastry pie. Unfortunately apart from two bits of prawn tail and a couple of flakes of fish, this was a quite bland $95 potato pie!! So underwhelming and disappointing. "Good gelati, but disorganised. Great gelati but it's chaos when it's busy. There's no clear line or system to make sure people are served in order and many of the staff don't seem well trained in customer service. I'll keep going back (I've really missed having great gelati in norwood since cibo/pistachio closed a couple of years ago) but I really hope they sort out their serving issues. There are a lot of interesting flavours which I enjoy trying, and a good chocolate sorbet which is my favourite."
