"As others have indicated in recent reviews, the behaviour of the leading staff member completely ruined our visit here. I take Covid precautions very seriously but the way we (and others) were spoken to (more like shouted at) by the female staff member as we...sat at our table was ridiculous. The food was average too."

"The restaurant is small and cosy with a relaxed vibe. It was very busy on a Friday night so I'm glad we booked a table! I'd checked when booking that they definitely offer vegan options, and they'd remembered before we arrived they'd already put the separate vegan menu out for us on our table. The menu is pretty good including several starters (haggis balls, loaded skins etc . 6 mains options, including two types of burger (the cairngorm was delicious! Dessert options too. Apparently one of their staff is vegan and I think it shows. Even just having vegan cheese for burgers and vegan condiments on offer is a nice touch you don't always get in other places. A great option for dining out if you're in the area."

"Excellent Fish n chips! At first the man on the counter seemed quite abrupt but he warmed up a bit in the end. The place is lovely, toilets excellent and clean and the food… well… really good! Curry sauce … what is their recipe?? It...was the best curry sauce we’ve ever had!! Fish was beautifully cooked."

"Food was seriously, genuinely lovely. The haggis was another level, and for someone who doesn't eat or even entertain the idea of mashed potato, this dish was fantastic. Beers were great and from the local brewery too. Dessert was very good. The only minor let down was waiting time between main and pud, but that is me being overly critical! Overall, a great experience and would definitely go back if I find myself in the area again!"
