"I went to see the restaurant for some very nice pictures I saw on the net. from the opposite edge of the river we have a beautiful view among the trees. there is an old bridge or a hard to reach maintenance door that allows crossing the river joto in front of the restaurant. the views are fantastic and I was lucky to find a group of ducks and playful goose. from that angle the intense yellow color of the restaurant's façade contrasts with water generating precious glitters of otoñales."

"Called for lunch at this charming parador, set in the heart of handsome Avila. It enjoys a tranquil location, overlooking garden which abuts the city walls. Service was excellent from a delightful, very helpful lady with a twinkle in her eye. The restaurant is rather old fashioned, though sympathetic to the property, with well distanced, smartly set tables. The menu features gutsy, traditional dishes food was tasty well presented. I didn’t care for the Avila delicacy Yemas though, a sickly, jelly like sweet made with eggs buckets of sugar, surely a zillion calories a pop. Overall though, a very enjoyable choice, with lots of character."
