Always great our server Matt was fantastic. He was very attentive and friendly. We loved sitting all the way in the back of the restaurant next to the fireplace. Food was delicious and fresh View all feedback.
What Bryan doesn't like about The North House:
Appetizers of soup, shrimp and bussels sprouts were good, as were the cocktails. However *all* of the meat entrees were over cooked: duck, steaks and cod! It was quite surprising to us. Didn't seem like there was much point in asking for all of our dinners to be remade, will simply not return. View all feedback.
The food was very good, our server, Kristen F was excellent. Our one complaint was that the food was very slow in coming. In the beginning no one else was in the dining room with us and one other couple did eventually arrive. I am not sure why the food took so long since the restaurant was not that busy.

The food was excellent as it has been every time we went. I did have a glass of brut rosé which was served somewhat warm and since no one came over for awhile, I put ice in it. When I told the waitress later that I would have liked another glass if it was actually cold, she mentioned the wine cooler wasn't holding its temp. You'd think she would have mentioned that and taken it off the check, but she didn't. So that was a little bit of a letdown. Otherwise good.
My family and I went for the Mother’s Day brunch, and it was incredibly disappointing. The wait was excruciatingly long, and while I don’t mind waiting for good food, the quality here was far from satisfactory. My daughter’s french toast was burned drenched in butter, and the crab cake was practically inedible. Even my husband’s steak was mostly fat with very little meat. Considering the steep price of $60 per person, the overall experience was below mediocre. The only redeeming aspect was the bread, which was quite good. It feels like they’re taking advantage of the occasion to charge exorbitant prices while delivering subpar food and service. I’ve been to Northhouse before and have never encountered such a disappointing experience. I normally would not write this review, but Mother’s Day should be a special occasion and they should put more effort not less!
