"Wonderful little restaurant. John is very welcoming and friendly. I had one of the best fish dishes I think I have ever had (and I eat a lot of fish), sea bream cooked en papillote with couscous, so tasty. Good selection of wines. Smallish restaurant, we ate early at 6.15 and by 7.30 it was pretty much full. Well worth booking if you like fish. "The best pizza I've ever had!! Couldn't not fault it at all, the pizza was absolutely delicious, the staff were so kind and the service was quick. We ate here twice during our holiday and got takeaway once and it was consistently incredible. I was very impressed with the takeaway service as I called up and was able to collect my pizza within 10 minutes, but I can imagine this would take longer for larger orders and at busier times. Bear in mind that it can get very busy so if you are are hoping to get a table in the evening, make sure to book in advance. However, we found walking in at lunch time without a booking wasn't a problem. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it's an absolute must to eat at if you're visiting Lyme Regis!!"

"We wanted to support local business and look forward to a special meal, allegedly Michelin starred. Whilst our waitress was so warm and welcoming, the same could not be said for the food and for £30 for pork loin that was not accompanied by any hearty veg dish, it is a shame they are missing the mark of what could be a very proud producer of local delicacies. As one table of only 5 during the evening, we could tell that the lacking atmosphere was not by chance. We would love to go again incase it was a one off but the price and overall experience leave us looking elsewhere."

"We have been lucky to have been able to visit Beaminster at least once a year for past 6 years. When here, our favourite watering hole is The Greyhound. Food is homemade...good and substantial and we believe kitchen uses local ingredients when possible. I 'm a lager drinker and this is served well...and understand beer drinkers enjoy the choice of ales. Landlord and staff are attentive providing good service in a simple, rustic country pub. No intrusive music or TV... simply old fashioned conversation. Dogs are made welcome, as are tourists...it is well worth a visit."
