Every year we come back to Ayamonte, and first port of call is Bar Choco. Normally eat in the restaurant , but recently have also had tapas and drinks at the bar. Always good food, huge measures of spirits, and friendly staff. Only concern is that after 6 years of the best gambas alajiolio anywhere, this time prawns were large, and though still excellent , were no longer world beating . read more.

We expected far more from this traditional Spanish restaurant. We started with octopus ,clams and shrimps sharing between three people . All fine. Main course was a seafood paella. Very poor. Not much seafood and little taste. read more.
