Highly recommended, owner is clearly a character who didn't click with some of the other reviewers but I have to say he was brilliant with us. We had four fantastic pasta dishes, and the polenta with cheese and sausage. Big portions and tasted great We went two years ago and we could not wait to go again. We were not disappointed. What johankoel doesn't like about Tana Del Lupo:
Poor service (had to clean the table myself), poor recommendation of food (I literally will ANYTHING well made) that came out in shape of a cold steak, cold red wine and overpriced. This was far below the standards of Italian mointain cuisine. Paying was elaborate and disorganized due to the owner trying to stiff some guests... Wouldn't eat there if it was for free, sadly. read more.

The place is amazing, and this is what keeps me from giving the minimum points. The rest is a disaster.... Starting from the owner who will try to sell you ever...

GREAT place. Best pasta we found during our week here. Very friendly staff, great view, interesting building from 1814.

"The restaurant has views of the Matterhorn from the window and a small terrace outside. The decor is typically Swiss. In the evenings there is a set 5 course dinner, and everything was absolutely wonderful, even the bread and butter! We were served an Alipine herb soup which was quite wonderful, followed by fish with lentils and spinach which were exceptional for texture and flavor, followed by entrecôte of beef with sous vide potatoes and grilled vegetables, and an absolutely exceptional crepe with local apricots, crispy caramelized pumpkins seeds and pumpkin seed ice-cream for dessert. The service was friendly and excellent. Cost was 62CHF per person which seemed very reasonable given the location and the truly outstanding meal."

"Excellent panorama over the whole valley after a short walk of 25-30 minutes (very simple). The farm offers excellent service with products at km0 and own production. we have taken a cutting board of fresh cheeses, 2 polenta tan with stew and sausage and 1/2 lt red of the house. More 2 sweets for a total of 47 euros. the price is absolutely worth the goodness of the food offered. a plus you can enjoy the sun loungers for free to enjoy the view."
