"There’s nothing here that you haven’t seen elsewhere. The same overpriced monotonous sandwiches, filtered coffee and microwaved vanilla sauce await you. Squeaky floorboards, worn out paint and a threadbare rug will keep you company in a stuffy basement while you wait in line as you would in Victory kitchens of old. If you have an abduction complex or retro fixation then all will be well here. You shall then obediently proceed to the front or the back of the building with your brown plywood veneer tray with your paper napkins, cutlery, plastic glass and that most hateful of contraptions the crocodile clip order number holder. The looong wait for the spotty summer intern to shout out your number starts. Expect tectonic plates and icebergs to move faster. It’s called a menu and table service and the table number never changes so he needn’t go round the garden every time sounding like a bingo caller. You wouldn’t need to stand up and in the way of incontinent old ladies, while your kids, husband or dog get restless and groggy. Just a thought! Mind you, the food would still be the same but clearly you don’t care or you wouldn’t be here, so..."
