"We had an afternoon tea. The tearoom is lovely, intimate and decorated to a 20s style. The service was excellent, welcoming, attentive and very friendly. The Food was fantastic... all looked and tasted very fresh... and definitely homemade. Couldn't fault it. We would highly recommend an afternoon tea here and we will visit the tearoom again for sure next time we're in sudbury. Thank you Service: Dine in"

"My partner and I dined here during our final nights stay at the Stoke and Nayland hotel which is fabulous! We opted to go for a 2 course meal £24 each and we had some water for the table, slightly concerning that the bottle of water is £3.80 mind. Nevertheless, the service we had from Hugo tonight made up for the slight mishaps on price. Before we started we opted to have two gin and tonics, moderately priced. My partner had the Hendricks option and I went for the ginger spiced themed gin and tonic. For our main meal my partner opted for the chicken wrapped in bacon whilst I went for the confit of duck. Both dishes arrived promptly and were presented as well as they tasted delicious. We opted to go for a dessert each and we both went for the Banoffi themed waffle, which was the right size of portion to end the evening off. We’d like to thank Hugo for his professional manner of service tonight and Gianluca too, for his wonderful service. Both men clearly enjoy what they do and this made our dining experience that much better!"

"Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime to investigate the beers on offer and to familiarise myself with the new landlord. Simon and Lindsey have only been running the pub since the beginning of April. It was nice to see five real ales on offer and even nicer to hear they are selling well. Three of the beers were West Kent CAMRA LocAle's and there was also a real cider. They also do food and there are separate lunchtime and evening menu's. We had a very reasonable scampi and chips when we visited."

"Although we called in at lunchtime and it was very busy, however the service was excellent. The young lady quickly took our order, the teas and coffee were with us within minutes and the main course was on our table in less than 10 minutes. With it being so busy we were expecting a long delay, but that was not the case The size of the meals was enormous and most importantly freshly cooked. We shall certainly visit again and the best restaurant we have visited in the Sudbury area. Highly Recommended"
