rusticana - Bacharach

We came here after our flight arrived in Frankfurt. Astrid was super nice and happy to speak English with us. I am vegetarian and was unsure about how that would go in Germany. I had the vegetable lasagna and a soup that were both very tasty. While visiting Bacharach, I had a dental issue and she was super helpful in directing me to a local dentist and even made the phone call to arrange the visit. I was very thankful for this and also for the good food.

The small menu provides hearty German food including vegetable soup, which was a welcome change from many restaurants we'd visited. It was delicious and comforting. The interior is warm and cozy, and the patio is a great venue for people watching. Owner Astrid speaks German, French, English and Polish! The beef sausage (can't remember the name) was a good choice.

My husband and I ate here for our evening meal. It was fine, but I'm not sure I'd go back. I had the stuffed pepper. It came with soup and a salad. Service was great and the couple that run it are wonderful.

Vefy good good, prepared by old lady, fantastic apple cake with vanilla ice-creme. Very friendy atmosphere, extra local wine and beer served, and cosy design of local. Worth every cent!
