Contribute Feedback What Oswald Heathcote doesn't like about Cabalen:
My Balikbayan friend wanted to try a Filipino dish so we suggested Cabal since we were at SM. They liked the food selection and Cabal was actually their favorite spot back in their Makati days in the late 1990s. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. However, I hope they address the issue of the slippery floor near the hand wash area caused by water drops, as I almost slipped. Thank you! View all feedback.
ビュッフェ形式のフィリピン料理店で、数多くの料理が並びます。 デザートも供されていました。 種類は豊富ですが、安価...More
We came in around 6.30pm.The picture outside is so enticing BUT in reality, the food and service is FAR below our expectation.IT WAS SHAMEFUL BRINGING MY BALIKBAYAN IN LAWS THERE. How is it possible to "Eat all you can, eat all you want" if they were super slow in replenishing the food or no replacement at all once the serving plate has been emptied. The picture of shell of mussels is the same when we came in and out. They labelled bulalo but it was just soup. They labelled pla-pla but only small head of the fish. They labelled hito but again, only head is available. "HOME OF THE BEST KARE-KARE" who would want kare-kare sauce only???? The slices of bico is only about 1inch×0.5inch! The dessert section is evenly frustrating. What will you do with chocolate fountain with only marshmallows to dip? The plastic container of water is dirty. Plates were cracked. The buttomless ice tea is like an instant litre pack mixed in 3 litres of water. After about 10minutes of paying the bill, I reminded the waiter for our receipt. And he gave back our receipt but not the change!!!!THIS RESTO WILL FOREVER BE BLACKLISTED ON OUR FOODTRIP.

This Filipino restaurant in SM Bacoor offers an affordable all-you-can-eat option. While it's not the best or worst I've had, they do have a good selection to choose from.
We arrived at around 6:30 pm and were initially impressed by the enticing photo outside the restaurant. However, the reality of the food and service fell far short of our expectations. It felt like we were trading our balikbayan in-laws in exchange for a meal. The service was incredibly slow when it came to replenishing food or replacing empty serving dishes. The mussels looked the same when we arrived and when we left. The menu advertised bulalo, but it was just soup. The pla-pal was just a small fish head. The hito was also just a fish head. The supposed home of the best KARE-KARE only offered Kare card sauce. The bico servings were tiny at just 1 inch by 0.5 inch. The dessert section was equally disappointing - they had a chocolate fountain but only provided marshmallows for dipping. The water containers were dirty and the plates were cracked. The icy drinks were weak and tasted like diluted instant mix. After waiting for about 10 minutes for our change after paying the bill, we had to remind the waiter to return it. This restaurant will definitely not be making it onto our list of favorite spots to eat.
