"The cafe is located at the north side of Bad Hofgastein where the location can be also reached by walking upto the hill. There is an amazing view where you can also get a little bit warm with sunbathing.The menu includes local desert tastes and typical coffee selections. "We had been a larger group for lunch. We gathered a nice table at the terrace. I had Selchfleischknōdel mut Sauerkraut and a Weissbier. The meal was superb and tasty. Even the terrace was full, the service was impeccable and very friendly. As a plus...I had a stunning view of a range of mountains."

"Discovered Bertahof during a post-ski walk. Stopped by for an afternoon coffee and walked away with a New Years eve dinner booking. The event was "rustic yet upscale": started with sparkling wine cocktails in the garden (fires and heaters provided), followed by a 7 course set menu (deliciousappetizers, crayfish and chicken breast), mostly from local/domestic ingredients, with the event closing with midnight fireworks and more sparkling wine, cordials etc. Bertahof offered wine recommendations, but there was also a solid wine list [mid-range]. The owner knows her food and wine, the staff are charming. My fiancée and I had a great time, will come again when we visit next.Several points of caution: 1. the focus is definitely food & drink, not entertainment; 2. Bertahof offers value for money but it's not cheap, 3. menu is meat and fish, vegetarian choices are limited"

"Was at Rossalm three times during our one week skiing vacation. It was by far the best place (in general we had good dinner experiences in the valley). The food is really awesome and at low price. I will really recommend going there."
