"The cafe is located at the north side of Bad Hofgastein where the location can be also reached by walking upto the hill. "We had been a larger group for lunch. We gathered a nice table at the terrace. I had Selchfleischknōdel mut Sauerkraut and a Weissbier. The meal was superb and tasty. Even the terrace was full, the service was impeccable and very friendly. As a plus...I had a stunning view of a range of mountains."

"Wonderful find at the end of Rauris Valley. Keep driving until you can go no further adjacent to car park. Called in for a drink and apple strudel. Beautiful restaurant in traditional style and friendly staff, very clean and tables well presented. Apple strudel to died for! A must visit if in the area"

"Discovered Bertahof during a post-ski walk. Stopped by for an afternoon coffee and walked away with a New Years eve dinner booking. The event was "rustic yet upscale": started with sparkling wine cocktails in the garden (fires and heaters provided), followed by a 7 course set menu (deliciousappetizers, crayfish and chicken breast), mostly from local/domestic ingredients, with the event closing with midnight fireworks and more sparkling wine, cordials etc. Bertahof offered wine recommendations, but there was also a solid wine list [mid-range]. The owner knows her food and wine, the staff are charming. My fiancée and I had a great time, will come again when we visit next.Several points of caution: 1. the focus is definitely food & drink, not entertainment; 2. Bertahof offers value for money but it's not cheap, 3. menu is meat and fish, vegetarian choices are limited"
