Right in the centre of Bagni di Lucca, with parking right outside and buzzy Bar Roma next door. Great pizzas and pasta, very drinkable house wine. Watch the world go by there's often something happening in the summer right outside. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Lira:
good food and friendly waitress. the music in the bar and the television in the restaurant were at the same time, so we asked the waitress politely whether they could switch off the volume as we were the only two guests. she even turned off the T.V. after eating, the chef stormed out of the kitchen and turned the volume back loud. loud music or television is not the background for a relaxed meal! You're always fine. now in winter there is hot! you eat well and they're nice. Last slurp: the challenge, double burger with bacon, onion tomato can, catchup. and focaccina bread!
Terrible service. Inedible carbonara like scrambled eggs. Steak served with red cabbage ? . Do not recommend.
Very nice restaurant in Bagni di Lucca. Delicious Pizza, Bruschetta and a really good Vino bianco della casa. The waitresses are extremely kind. We ate there three evenings in a row and hope to come back next summer.
The best gluten-free pizza I ever had. my man and I picked up from here three nights. exceptional pizza and very inexpensive!
We dropped in here after a long drive to our villa from the UK. We were both ravenous and would quite frankly have eaten anything which is just as well because the food was atrocious. I had possibly THE worst Carbonara I have ever eaten and that includes ready meals. The Bruschetta was made with cheap ingredients and was very poor. My wife’s pizza at least edible albeit a weird shape. At a guess I would say that the chef wasn’t in and someone was winging it. The house wine was foul.
