"What can I say, a delightful winery in the historic center of Grosseto, a very dated and beautiful place due to its retro appearance, a brazier always lit at the entrance and an unmistakable Maremma scent. The Fiorentina is recommended, excellent appetizers, the house wine is also very good. The only small point would be to reduce the prices a bit, not for the meat but for the other things, otherwise I highly recommend it. A pizzeria was recently opened right in front of the restaurant which can also act as an additional place in the restaurant, in fact we were asked to sit in the pizzeria to be able to order in peace, which was very welcome and appreciated. Constructive advice: Mark directly on the menu what is not available, I ordered a fillet which they gave me as available and instead it wasn't there I had to change to another dish, for the side dishes we were offered chard and chicory which stood out but on the plate there was it was just the chard these small details can make the difference in getting the 5 stars, in fact in my ratings I take a bit of everything into account. This certainly won't be the reason for me to say that I'm not satisfied, in fact I will gladly return as soon as possible, I also underline the kindness of the staff who welcomed us, finding us accommodation and making us feel at ease straight away. "Due to its high rating for this area, we decided to treat ourselves on our last night. Is located in a very small village, is strongly advised to reserve, especially the terrace tables (with beautiful landscape of the hills, nice to dinner during sunset , small restaurant with around 15 tables (it was fully booked when we went there . Cutely decorated with simple items like candles, old irons and brooms; toilet room was too perfumed and a basket complete of perfumes, perfumed powders, hand creams, disinfectant etc. was available for guests… nice touch, it was quite a long time that I don’t visit a toilet room with toiletries for free use for the public… That night, we chose tortellini with burrata (type of “buttered” cheese , spinach and pistachio (too much the taste of nutmeg! ; papardelles with cinta senese (local pig sauce; braised piglet with Scansano wine; fried dried cod; lemon mousse with sweetened fruit, yogurt mousse with chopped nuts… fixed price for a starter, main, dessert and drinks, no written menu, orally announced by who welcomes… Interesting, tasty and beautifully presented dishes. We were received by (presumably manager and she said that they propose traditional dishes with variations; no popular antipasti like sliced dried meats are served and snacks will not be offered as they are time wasting, we agreed BUT when you see that is offered to other tables with the exception of yours including those who arrived later, is not nice seeing that… we didn’t ask for it (because we don’t like to seem “begging” but after the pasta dishes, the courtesy snack arrived with many apologies from the waitress (switched as the “owner” went to receive other guests … after finishing the snack (which was appetizing the waitress kept apologizing the gap… Apart of this episode (intentional or not or just forgetful! , this is a nice eatery, hidden, away the crowds, with quite good (sometimes a bit less! food with experimental addings."

"My lord! The talent in this kitchen is unmatched. We ordered the special a rabbit cooked with who knows what and let me tell you. It was the best thing I have ever had. So delicious, I almost ordered a second! The polenta, the fried squash blossom, the ravioli and the Tuscan bean soup was fantastic!!! I cried when I saw the bill so affordable!!! I almost want to stay an extra day so I can eat again at this incredible restaurant. But tomorrow we bike to Montepulciano. If you stop in Scansano this place is a must and please make reservations.
