we order the standard Argentinian bark, chorizo and was not in order, hard and very dry. the ambiente looks pretty, could be a good work to make better look. service was nice. View all feedback.
Very good restaurant, with an initial German founder but with the great mix of a later acquisition by a Spanish owner. established at the end of the xix century is a traditional place in the city. a must-see place for people who live well when they come to white bay.
This is a traditional old restaurant in the city. I've eaten here twice when I'm visiting. I was not impressed the first time and yesterday was no different. I was with three colleagues. at our table they put bread (30 pesos per person) that was not fresh. I ordered butter, they brought margerine. We started with a dish of cheese (150 pesos) and a prosciutto (150 pesos for four slices). Very little cheese. the parmesan piece was mainly the dry and hard outer part of the wheel. incomible. I ordered escalopes (ternate dishes) with red wine sauce and potatoes (270 pesos). the meeting was not very tender and had baskets. the potatoes were oily the service was slow and indifferent. We had to order the check 3 times before finally deciding to get up and go to the cash register to ask. We were immediately provided with the check before we reached the cash register. We couldn't pay the bill because there was a problem with the credit card machine. I came back the next day to pay. Things happen, so I don't blame them on this. I left it on average because I think it's probably among the best restaurants in the city. However, in general, do not expect a great gastronomic experience.

A friend who attended university in the city more than 40 years ago brought us here, and found that many of the same people still work there! have been in the business since 1890 and I can tell them they have perfected so recipes. the 5 we ask for many different dishes, from the traditional German pig with cold potato salad, to more Argentine meat dishes. They were all excellent. I had the pork and potatoes salad and knew exactly what I had in germany in a good restaurant. the service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the only thing I'm sorry was not being able to come back for another meal before leaving town.
I've been here with some friends. The atmosphere is well preserved from the traditional Argentine environment. the menu is more than enough for all drops of the body. The food was very good, the wine advised by the waiter was perfect. the staff is very friendly and helpful, even they don't speak English well. They try to help and make it a pleasant experience. the food came fast too... which is good.
