Have been back here several times now. Always for takeaway. Not sure as good as I remembered it when I dined in but good generous serves all nice and hot and pretty quick even when they're busy. It is my "go to" place when I am in Bairnsdale especially with it being open practically all the time. I can always depend on it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Desi Grill:
Most of the customers when visited where Indian or sub-continent so we assumed Desi Grill reflected true North Indian food.The decor was right with a few bronze elephants and framed chili and garlic on the walls and a little chaos bhind the scenes and the...stairs to the toilet. You will find here on a Sunday evening in a group of six. very good COVID compliance according to demand. staff very friendly and service was efficient. the meals were torn! much taste to enjoy. the servings were good and in the position, with. all the loose of the farewell meal, while we slept. def is worth visiting as it is very good eating and reasonable price. good selection of beer available and has only byowein.
During our night in bairnsdale we stumbled on this restaurant. it was exactly what we needed on a cold, wet night after a long trip. the flavors were amazing best bark vindaloo ever! the service was not friendly, courteous and welcome they will not visit desi grill regret.
Was recommended by a coworker because of their beautiful food, great service and generousness when it came to the fires that hit East-Gippsland when this local owner returned the community over the way of the free food for emergency services. desi Grill...was just as it was described to me, nice eating, extraordinary aromen and friendly staff. they were very hospitable and made me feel like I was sitting in their house. I returned a second night back while I was in bairnsdale and did not hesitate to visit my next visit.
Moving to East Gippsland over seven years ago we have driven past Desi Grill multiple times per week, but never entered. It was front of mind this time last year when the restaurant pitched in to feed the firefighters during the horrific blazes of January...2020. Then COVID arrived and we forgot about going. This was rectified today and we're sorry. So sorry that we haven't been previously. The experience was superb, from the friendly greeting, the spotless and attractive decor, the extensive menu and a range of wines at sensible prices. Then there was the food. Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We will very definately be back..very soon.
Great night. authentic food, wonderful spices. the tandoori huh and paneer masala both absolutely beautiful. we enjoyed ourselves very much and will come back through bairnsdale next time.
