Felt like a really good meal of fish and chips as we were in town on holidays, and found them at Isley's. Size of the serve was excellent, crumbed flathead was fantastic as was what appeared to be homemade chips. Also ordered potato cakes and these were arguably the best we have ever had, no grease at all. Would certainly recommend to anyone in Bairnsdale, Victoria. read more.

Flake was small and tough. Measly amount of chips that were not crispy, despite asking for them to be so. Long waiting time for food that was not worth it. We ordered 3 serves of fish and chips - they were ALL disappointing. read more.

"Attended for lunch and although the setting and menu was very nice, the language coming from behind the counter and the kitchen was outright disgusting. It’s good to hear the staff are happy, but yelling out unacceptable expletives at each other and inappropriate topics of discussion out loud over the already excessively loud music when there are kids within earshot is extremely unacceptable. I think the staff need to remind themselves it’s a buisness, not a nightclub bar. I think there are better cafes in town to spend you time."
