"Update I've learned the pricing at this IHOP location is dictated by the franchisee. And I'm sure they based their high pricing on the lack of competition immediately adjacent to them. So, if you want a decent meal while traveling up/down CA, plan to stop in an actual city. Bakersfield has tons of restaurants and it's not that far off I-5 via the new Highway 58 and 99. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the prices at this IHOP are remarkably high. The food is really good and the service was also good, but I probably wouldn’t come back here simply because of the high prices. For example, as of today, the price of a full stack of plain buttermilk pancakes at my local IHOP (outside Boston) is $10.49. The same item is $16.99 at this IHOP. For a family of four, after tip, you’re likely to pay somewhere close to $100. That’s kind of insane for an IHOP."

"One of those out in the country little coffee shops. The crossroads of two rural highways. Not a fancy place no table service. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I had my breakfast within about 10 minutes. And the food is very reasonably priced"

"Haven't been in 20 years decided to go again... Tortilla soup was great!!! Ordered a flat iron steak....tender and good asked for A-1 and never used it...had the shrimp add on, they were ok...place has been there over 20 years and hope they go another 20... got lots on the menu I would recommend giving them a try"

"I bought this chicken biryani yesterday oct 9th 2023 at 10:30pm. its only the half box of biryani and half dahi and charged me 14$ and i ordered and ask for spicy biryani bt this is average in taste also. Shamed on the staff that if you dont have proper meal why you picked the order,i suggest all my trucker friends never visit that kind of restaurant. It was very bad experience with this restaurant.
