pixies is 3 years old. all good to birthday. good coffee, excellent staff and the best bacon sausage breakfast in the countryside!

people friendly, dog friendly and a great place to eat and stop drinking. free on parking! amazing of the characters and great value for money in today's world....

Took my mum to Pixie’s for a light lunch. It was lovely, the food was delicious, the staff were wonderful and it was a lovely lunch. Very reasonably priced too....

"We had a well-deserved coffee and cake at Willow Trees Café after a lovely cross county walk. Refreshments were excellent and it was nice sitting outside by the river Lea (there was even a swan on the river with several young cygnets). There is not much parking at (or near) the Café so most people walk from Wheathampstead (along the Lea Valley Walk) or walk cycle from Harpenden along the old railway line (which is also part of the Lea Valley Walk). The café does have a set of cycle racks. It should be noted that the café is only at weekends and bank holiday Monday’s between May Bank Holiday weekend and August Bank Holiday Monday. Contactless payment is now accepted and additional outside seating has recently been added."

"Al Qud's is a real treat. I have come here since the first lockdown, travelling from as far as Stevenage and London just for the pure taste and brilliant food (ma sha Allah). The flavour feels like traditional home cooked Palestinian and Middle Eastern food. Recently, I ordered a full lamb with rice, salad, sides and garnish. Totally within budget. The feedback from friends and family was amazing. They all asked where I purchased the food from and when I told them it was from Luton, they really could understand why I would choose a caterer outside of London and that far away! Ismail, the head chef and owner, really deserves the credit here. Myself being in the catering business would much sooner recommend Al Qud's because they give you great food, taste and a fair price. I wish, and pray, the business succeeds in all their endeavours."
