"The minute we went in, we were greeted by a smiling and very accommodating staff. The place is very welcoming even from outside. The food was great! My partner, who is usually very critical about restaurant food, went home with a satisfied grin on his face. And the place is child friendly, which is a big plus for me. The ambience is very relaxing. You would really want to come again. And again."

"The food here is great, we've been a few times and have never had even an average meal. It's always fantastic, and I like the complimentary tea too There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options and the injera is delicious. We visited on a Friday night and got a table with no problems, and the owner was very attentive and friendly"

"It is hard to do Hop Temple justice with a single rating. It should get five stars for atmosphere and beer, one star for food. Selecting from the vast choice of beers was greatly facilitated by knowledgeable bartenders, and we enjoyed our selections. On a Friday night, the place was heaving, but service was still good. However, six of us ordered food, covering five different dishes, of which one was quite good (meatballs), two mediocre, and three terrible. The pizzas were truly inedible, most of them left on the plate despite two hungry teenagers who normally clean up anything left over. I'd be back in a flash for a drink, but eating beforehand is highly advisable."

"Memories of a Baked Potato shop in Edinburgh saw me push open the door of the Rusty Spud seeking out lunch! This place is now secure in my memory too brilliant! Simple, straight forward good food! Choice of spud normal or sweet potato, then various options either make up your own or select from a handful of menu items. Base option was great hot baked normal spud with cheese, sour cream, chives and coleslaw plus a pot of English Breakfast came to AUD 14.00 and was delivered swiftly. Perfect! Selection of tables and chairs, with comfy benches along walls, good atmosphere, surprised how busy it was on a Wednesday lunch time. TV screen was showing music videos but the noise was not intrusive. I 'll have to go back to check out the cabinet display to have with a coffee one day soon. Well worth calling in."
