"The food was delicious, but small things like a replacement bottle water would make the visit even better!"

"We headed here after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and couldnt wait to ad our own rave review! Between the two of us we tried the grilled fish, the battered fish, and a small chips and we each had a potato cake a pumpkin cake. Oh my giddy aunt! The potato cake (potato scallop for northerners) was the best I've ever tasted and the pumpkin cake was amazing! The fish tasted like real fish! We took our dinner home and ate it on our hotel bed. (Classy and romantic, right?!)The shop was fastidiously clean and the owners/cooks were a lovely Greek couple. Highly recommend."

"Pleasant staff, but not value for money. We arrived for brunch before noon to a bustling cafe were seated with prompt service. The menu is varied but there are lots of add ons which is very annoying. Hubby went for eggs, ham hollandaise served on hash browns, he asked for toast with it so his $22 meal turned into a $25.50 meal. My meal was a corn fritter (bland stodgy) with an avocado, raw onion barely there tomato salsa, topped with 1 poached egg at $25.00 I added bacon for an extra $6.50 was asked if I wanted to add on chutney, I declined but latter found it would have added another $3. At $31.50 I would have thought chutney would have come with it, definitely NOT value for money. You can buy a steak at pub for $34. With a regular coffee at $5 each brunch became a very pricey meal."

"It was a lovely public holiday. I didn't have a plan to stop by this cafe. I didn't disappoint after all. My cappuccino was top notch. Macadamia tart was accompanied with lovely fresh cream and chocolate garnish. Now I wouldn't be surprised that why the Turret Cafe has been popular. During corona virus pandemic, it's not easy to keep the business going well but this cafe is doing great. I will be back more often."

"Simple cooked breakfasts, made well and not overpriced. This is a popular cafe and it’s easy to see why."

"When we walked in , it was totally full of customers , which is a good sign, however no free tables indoors, but weather was kind and sunny, so we decided to sit outside.Person at the order till, was not on the ball, we ordered daily special, amd he did not know how much it was, so we had to tell him the price. He mumbled a fair bit and was difficult to understand what he said, i had to ask him 3 times, because I did not understand what he was asking. He wanted out table nr, but the way he said it, mumbling, was hard for me to get what he said. In the end we got it right.Coffees were really good, smooth and fast service, very nice coffees. The pumkin /fetta quiche with salad was very tasty, but I think the size of the meal was abit small for the price we paid."

"On a random road trip to Ballarat my friend suggested going to this roast place for the most amazing roast rolls she had ever eaten. All I can say is wow. The bread roll is fresh and light. They give you a decent serve of pork (can get other meats) and decent amount of apple sauce and gravy. The roast pork was cooked to perfection. The potato scallop bake was amazing, so mouth watering and the flavours where outstanding. Wasn't oily, I could have eaten more haha. The service is quick and friendly.I would have given a 5 star rating nut they forgot my crackle, like who doesn't eat crackle with pork lol. Will be going back for sure"
