"I was on vacation in alstonville and visited ballina while I was there. dorys takeaway has the most incredible food. I went back during my stay in a week. the service was amazing, my eating was cooked with love (you can just say). I recommend the roasted chicken burger and if they still have the soft-shell cerebral roller specifically that I also bleed my head!"

"I probably give it 3.5 but my partner absolutely LOVED the food. I thought the food was ok, some weird combinations. However wait staff were lovely. It is very homely cooked meals with a little extra. Had a great time."

"I had a great meal here recently and want to share I'm coeliac so sometimes finding safe gluten free food can be a challenge particularly outside of major cities.When I asked about gluten free options on the menu and how safe they were from cross contamination, the waitress asked if I was coeliac, and then excitedly told me that everything on the menu with the exception of the normal bread was ok, and they were really across how to prepare food safely.The food and service was all amazing it's so good to be able to eat at an authentic French restaurant in a regional town! I highly recommend Che Bon for anyone looking for a nice meal out.Thank you Che Bon, we will be back next time we are in town!"

"The welcoming staff were very pleasant and efficient. We ordered our meals. My husbands entree came very quickly, followed by our main meals. I understand chips are hard to come by at the moment but there is no excuse for serving burnt and damaged chips. Mine was absolutely disgusting. The 'salad ' on our plates was just a lettuce mix, no thing else. Very disappointing. My steak was just beautiful but the rest of the meal was well below standard. Disapponted!"
