Fontalina - Balnarring

Great pizza full of flavor and very interesting combinations available, staff are friendly and reminds me of a nicer American diner feel, with the refillable Soda stations and layout

This place is starting to be a regular Sunday drive down for me, and I'm happy to make the trip from Bentleigh knowing what's waiting for me when I get there! With beautiful tasting pizzas, delicious gelato and loads of variety, this Italian restaurant is definitely the place to be on any day. The staff are so welcoming and the service is fantastic. Keep being awesome Fontalina, in my book you're doing it right! Worth the trip people.

We are locals and thought it was time to try Fontalina. We went in and ordered takeaway, pizzas, lasagna and chicken wings.. the pizza was cooked immediately and were ready 2 mins later. We waited a further 10 minutes for the rest of the order. We Asked if our pizza would be cold and were told, 'no, they stay really hot'. We drove the 3 minute journey home to eat cold, somewhat soggy pizza. We were really disappointed. On the up side the wings were nice.

I'm a local who moved to the Peninsula from Melbourne and I've missed the good Italian food and pizza I used to get in the CBD/Carlton..Until now - I just discovered Fontalina in Balnarring - it serves delicious, fresh, and authentic Italian food beautifully presented and served by staff who always seem to have a smile on their face. The pizza is made in traditional Italian wood-fired ovens - it is insanely good, the result of an all-day preparation that shows the chef's dedication to flavor, texture, and beauty. The appetisers and mains are just as thrilling and there is a large selection of beautiful local wines to wash them down with..or a crisp and chilled Peroni served on tap...And it is surprisingly affordable

Needed some comfort food after getting back from the big smoke. We decided to get some take away from this great little pizzeria in Balnarring. Great decision. The pizza was gorgeous. The pizza tomato base is absolutely delicious. Also, had some lasagne and a Mediterranean salad. Pasta in the lasagne was a little overcooked but flavour was great.This place will become a regular for us.
