Ye Olde Saracens Head - Balsall Common

What a beautiful place! we are a family of four who were visited due to the strong trip advisor reviews and were so pleased that they were earned. adequately expensive good quality eating, server quickly and with a smile (I think the waitress was charming.) if we were not so far away, we would often be back!

Had a lovely laid back ladies lunch, staff were great,and the food was fab and well presented and served. Great offers, we took advantage of the pizza for £7.50 and loved the half pizza and salad option. Also had the rarebit light lunch which was a good portion size and lovely to have something different on the menu. We will definitely be back.

The staff were really wonderfully accommodating of our large group including young children; they accounted for everything we needed, found small cutlery for the kids, kept on top of all of our drinks/random additional requests; they were really lovely and at no time did we feel hassled or rushed. I’d 100% recommend to friends and we will definitely be back. The only thing I’d note was that it was quite warm sat between the large radiator behind the banquette seating and the pizza oven, but other than that I’ve got no suggestions to change anything at all! The whole process from booking the private dining area, to selecting the festive menu and drinks with your manager, the service in the bar area and the young man looking after us was exceptional. The food was delicious. We all felt the portions were rather generous a bit too generous. Settling the bill was easy. It was a perfect experience. Thank you.
