"You know the vibe you get when you enter a cafe and you feel, 'Yes, I can see myself coming here every morning for my coffee and every weekend just to hangout and brunch... and yes this could be my go to, my favorite place to be ' .... well that 's the feel I got when I went to @olivelanemelb .<br/ <br/ Located in Balwyn North and opened only in August last year, this cafe is clearly started to be noticed for all the right reasons. <br/ They do artisan pastries and cakes which are totally next level mindblowing and why wouldn 't they be, their patisserie chefs have come straight from Greece.<br/ <br/ The owner Andrew and Diti, are one of the friendliest cafe hosts who took the time to greet each customer as they came in. They are genuine hosts and natural conversationalists and they truly enjoyed hosting each customer and knowing what up with them. <br/ They have carefully curated their menu to include all brunch classics .. what 's different is this menu is topped with their ace hospitality. <br/ For a Cafe to achieve such reputation only in 8 months of its inception is totally outstanding and really beyond compare. <br/ And hey, dont be surprised if you do find me there every weekend ,, cos I am serious.. I am totally crushing on @olivelanemelb at the moment. It really is gonna be my weekend hangout from now. "

"Was walking past last night and decided on the spot to order a tom yum soup. Oh my, was hot chilli spicy with 3 large prawns and absolutely soothingly delicious. If this is the quality of their soup I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes."

"Lovely meal and staff. My only comment would be that it was odd that you could only get full cream milk. No other milk is available. We couldn’t get almond, soy or lactose free so that was a little disappointing. Love the garlic and onion free options and such a beautiful setting. Will definitely visit again."

"I ate here 06th February 2017.We ordered a pasta each, a diet coke each and a some bread (you pay extra for a piece of bread). Our past and drink arrived, but the bread never did.After eating our meals, we waited for someone to return to see if we wanted dessert - we'd looked at the menu earlier and we both saw something we liked. Eventually I walked up to the counter and grabbed a menu and said to the two staff standing there doing nothing that we will to order dessert. I took the menus back to our table, we double-checked what we wanted to order and waited. After 10 minutes, we decided to leave. As we were leaving I told the cashier that we didn't get our bread. He said "but I take it you did get your pasta and drink?". It felt somewhat condescending. He did ask if we wanted him to give us some bread to take home.This was a Monday evening. The place would have been 25% - 30% full and there was plenty of staff not looking particularly busy. Not sure we'll return. And not great for the owners if their staff aren't attentive to customers who have told them "we want to order more food", ie we want to spend more money in your restaurant.The pasta was very good. Seating uncomfortable."
