"I won a meal for two in a Facebook compition whichI was delighted with .my sisters law and I went to cafe Essence last Thursday night and we had a wonderful evening. Soft music playing in the background and the food was mouth watering.The guy who served us was very attentive couldn't do enough for us I had Lemon crusted cod,garden peas,hand cut chips ,homemade tomato salsa which was all beautiful ,Pauline had chicken chassaurwith veg and hand cut chips for dessert we both had warm chocolate fudge cake with cream we were both stuffed to the gills a truly wonderful meal a beautiful way to spend a windy Thursday night Cafe Essence is a jewel in Bangors crown I would easy give them 11 out of 10 for the food.thank you Cafe Essence for a wonderful night.x"

"My wife and I were happy enough to eat here twice during our short stay with great friends in donaghadee. both paintings were for the wonderful eating, beautiful old world ambiente and really welcome and hospitality very unforgettable. Maybe it helps if their friends appear to be a familiar one in their local but each member of the staff went out of the way to take care of us and feel at home. Among the recommended dressings are the chilli salt and pepper squid, chicken stack, bang chicken, seafood chowder, rump steak, burger menu and chicken, chorizo pasta bake."

"Very sweet little restaurant, excellent service and delicious food! they gave me a free goat cheese appetizer. for the main course I had chicken valdostana. that was pretty tender. for dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with ice. I would add it in any case that must try food list in belfast!"
