"We were one of 5 couples eating in this small but beautifully designed restaurant. By the end of the evening we were all conversing with the lovely owner conducting proceedings. Her English is good but what united all of us was the delight in the...exceptional food. We all peered to see what others were being served and wondered what was to come next. The lobster bisque was to die for, the tuna steak fresh, moist and delicious, the meat course succulent and the puddings capped off a wonderful night. This equalled our recent Heston Blumenthall's meal in London."

"Some friends in the area recommended this restaurant to us a long time ago. We ordered a shot of braves that were spectacular, a paella that was incredible and to close the lunch a hazelnut coulant. We were speechless. I recommend you to come and taste it because I will probably be short. "We went to the "L'Ancienne École" on a holiday. We were seated on a indoor backyard and it was a little bit too hot. Despite the crowd the service was excellent, the kitchen was quite slow but we were not in a rush. Good ingredients a beautifully cooked main courses. Quite a short wine list eventhought the one we chose was very good. It is not the first time and it will not be the last but next time we will book to be sitting inside the restaurant."
