We had been on a cruise with friends and spent two extra days in Barcelona. We had a farewell dinner at Salamanca, a restaurant recommended by the hotel. Great food in a large outdoor seating area. read more.

What Rubén Toro doesn't like about Salamanca II:
I wanted to like this place more, given the cute location and the attentive staff. However, my  ceviche  appetizer consisted of cold pieces of cod on a bed of sliced raw veggies. Um, what? And my supposed sole meunière was served fried in a mysterious brown sauce, with a side of mushy boiled vegetables. The desserts were the only thing they got right: tiramisu and and ice cream thing.
