We had a average meal, steak and fish, the lady that served us was very rude and did not get a look at the menu... steak or fish !! Ordered port for the end of meal she charged me 10 Euro for each port!! This would have not happened if you were Portuguese This was our last day in Portugal, up to this point all the Portuguese have been extremely pleasant and honest. I RETURNED TO RESTAURANT PEDRA FURADA AGAIN. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN I WAS GREETED WITH A WARM WELCOME BY THE EVER ATTENTIVE MANAGER AND HOST ANTÓNIO AND STAFF OF THIS FAMILY ORIENTED RESTAURANT PEDRA FURADA. “PLEASE SIT DOWN HERE AND THANK YOU FOR PASSING BY AGAIN”. SAID HE. A TALL GLASS OF FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE AND A CARROT CABBAGE SOUP I HAD REQUESTED AS I SAT DOWN FOR LUNCH APPEARED ON MY TABLE. FOLLOWED BY A RISOTTO BEAN AND FISH DUMPLINGS DISH AND A TOSSED SALAD OF A LEAFY GREEN LETTUCE, TOMATO AND CUCUMBER SPRINKLED WITH EXTRA VIRGEN OLIVE OIL AND BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE ON THE SIDE. SIMPLY DELICIOUS.
This place do not welcome pilgrims. The old lady told me to leave. She said go find a cafe… so weird.
What an incredible treat on the Camino! I coordinated my rest day just to eat lunch and dinner here. I had the traditional cod with a delightful soup and crème brûlée! Antonio is a wonderful welcoming host! A true treasure!
Loved this place!! The food was amazing, the service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back. Also they have a cute cafe next door to the restaurant which you have to visit, it is full of memories of passed guested and full of nostalgia. Love this place !
The best restaurant in Barcelos! Every time I go the food is exceptionally good. They offer professional service at a great value. The restaurant has a great setting as well. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a variety of good Portuguese dishes.
