a relaxing country pub, with open fires, good beer, a decent menu and very good service. we all enjoyed our lunch, finished with a selection at desserts including affogato. we visit the rose and krone possibly 4 times a year and are never disappointed! highly recommended, but in advance book to be sure that a table. the pub is dog-friendly and there are good walks that begin and end from the village.
