"Michael makes me a review. but even if he had not threatened me, I would have to say that carpe diem is a shiny jewel in the clone that is whetstone high road. fresh and beautifully prepared meals and drinks served by friendly staff. a great community atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home whether they are a regular or a first timer. I really can't sing praise high enough to stop meeting me, please michael? ;"

"My first taste of Aperol happened in Venice, extremely appropriate given Aperol’s Italian heritage. Topped with soda and gazing out on Venice’s intricate, windy cobbled streets, this bright drink has the power to transport me right back. View from the Grand Canal. I’ve always viewed this as a bit of a summer drink though and Aperol are on a mission to change that and make Aperol a year-round tipple and so they’ve invited us to the Cocktail Trading Co to get a crash course in how to make this drink and show us just how easy drinking it is year round."

"Perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend the taster menu. The owner took time to chat to us between courses during the dinner as well. The quality of the fish is excellent and the amount of food just right. The balance of flavours will have you leaving very happily at the end of the meal!"
