"Barnstable Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Hyannis, Massachusetts in September 2017. It was founded by husband and wife Peter and Ann Connor as well as their son Mike, who serves as the brew master. Opening a brewery was a dream for Peter for several years. He received the green light from the town zoning board to begin work building a brewery, but a permitting dispute with a neighboring business stalled the project for a few years. In that time, son Mark studied biology and brewing and received Master Brewer certification from Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany. The delay in opening the brewery allowed the family to acquire harder-to-find hops and expand their repertoire of beers. Today they offer a variety of draft styles that range from European classics to newer American staples. My wife and I visited Barnstable Brewing for the first time in July 2019. I had spent most of the day cycling on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and had built up quite a thirst. The brewery had a nice taproom where customers could enjoy a variety of games. My wife and I played a few games of Giant Connect Four'. I ordered a sampler fight which included a blueberry ale, a pale ale, a New England IPA and a milk stout. My favorite was the New England IPA (called Examen #23 I purchased a four-pack of cans to go. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Barnstable Brewing and we would stop by again and if we're ever in the area."

"The food is delicious. Short ribs are tender and the burger is cooked perfectly. Took 2 stars off because of the waitresses. Our waitress (bartender) is very nice and did her best. It's just that she is too busy for too much responsibility. On the other hand, another waitress who was free enough to chat with the receptionist, showing her nails polish and looking at her phone then take out orders. We sat there for over 15 mins with our menu on the table but still no one took our order. They also let our food sit under the lamp for quite a while. I guess it's not going to hurt to bring it to us (literally 2 steps) even if you are not the one who takes our tips."

"Eating is in order fresh, and competently prepared and presented. However, I find most employees quite unfriendly. Last time I was eating there, I asked for a place at the bar, where only another one was fed in gas. my waiter has assigned me a place on the door where he was scarf and generally unpleasant. I had to sneak in and felt uncomfortable. but when another waiter noticed my discomfort, he pulled me on two places where the things were much better. my latest experience: I ordered on the phone from the menu on their website for a pickup. the price was listed at $155. shortly before I went to pick up, I got a call from them and told me that the price was increased with immediate effect to $175 and that they would add 18% service fee. the ton of the lady on the phone was short and rude. I canceled my order. in future I will take my business after misaki in hyannis."

"It was a Friday night, the place was packed, and we didn’t have reservations. The hostess found a table in the corner for us and we had an amazing meal: fried calamari (tender, not chewy! , ravioli, chicken Marsala, and chicken Parmesan. Our only regret was we were too full for dessert!"
