"This place has the best breakfast in Barrie hands down. Breakfast at Midway Diner feels like hanging around with your favorite mates after a night of drinking. The staff is so friendly and up to Earth. The Hollandaise sauce is one of the few real Hollandaise sauces around and I can't get enough of the fried mash. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. They only accept cash. There's an ATM on site."

"Dropped in for dinner with my sister and brother-in-law and we all ordered the special which was Rainbow Trout. This was no ordinary fish dish. It came with trout tartare which was out of this world. It also had a cucumber reduction over top. I didn't want the potatoes so asked if the chef would make some extra veggies instead. Out came a vegetable platter that was so delicious and huge we all ate it. Napa cabbage, heirloom beets, tasty carrots that were cooked to perfection. Our only complaint was that the portions were so big we didn't have room for dessert. Service was excellent too."
