"Went here for a meal before going to the theatre. Clean and really nicely presented restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Good food. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back. Only criticism would be lack of allergy information and vegan or vegetarian options on the menu. We had to park and walk to the restaurant as it is in the pedestrianised area of Basingstoke town centre. Not a particularly picturesque location but once inside we had a very good experience and therefore happy to recommend."

"Wow! eating was good can't fail. the personal was beautiful and attentive. the decor inside is really beautiful, great mood. good menu and veggie/vegan options that are important to me. first-time eating Thai food will go back here. just what I will say is that the salat leaves were dead and they were not served with dressing, but we were not as much harassed as more important for us were the hearty objects / meal"

"It was my 50th birthday, so I wanted to order in advance...they couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delivered on time; it was delicious and hot (heat) and all six of us really enjoyed the food. Thank you Kathmandu for the fantastic food and fantastic service."

"Gosh, this place is so lovely to stay at we can highly recommend the new Cart House super comfortable and cosy. And Jason's food is perfect we had fresh scallops, plump mussels, cod, and luscious lobster. The full English breakfast and our own toaster for the homemade sourdough set us up for walking around Silcester, but we made sure to nip back for lunch anda welcome mulled wine and twice baked cheese soufflé. Jason, Simon and his team made a surprise treat weekend for my husband perfect."

"Couples visit for a birthday on a quiet Wednesday evening. Was hoping for a great meal as it 's the first time we 've managed to get out since having a baby 3 weeks ago and organising childcare etc is always tough. 10mins after ordering we were told the starter that was labelled 'Gluten Free ' isn 't actually gluten free and was mislabelled on the menu so my partner had to change her order which of course is disappointment. Concerning as this was only caught as our waitress double checked with the chef. I had ordered bread and olives for starter however only the the bread was brought out until the manager noticed I was missing the olives, oil, vinegar and side plates. They had also brought my 'half starter ' out without my partner having anything brought out. The mains were prompt and tasty albeit very expensive for the steak. The wait staff were uncommunicative and apart from the manager seemed oblivious to our issues. Disappointed that nothing was taken off the bill and there was even the default 10% service charge added! Not one to kick up a fuss but won 't be returning."
