"Very Disappointed, came here today to have the big pan special which is Yellow Thai, which i normally enjoy so much and always come to have this for my lunch, well today i wished i did NOT bother, it taste nothing like it usually does, seamed missing the taste it normally has and also was extremely oily runny looking, then the amount of Yellow Thai i got compered to the rice was a joke, hardly any meat in the ridiculous tiny spoon of food the lady serving gave me. so not only did my lunch taste disgusting i basically was given rice and the tiny amount of pan, nothing like i normally received rather upsetting and disappointed i wasted my lunch break walking down to you today, not sure if the lady that served me is new to the job or what but today's vist has left me very disappointed to be given what i did today compered to my usual Yellow Thai vists, both the taste and the amount given needs to be fixed please improve this for next time"

"We visited based on personal recommendation and were not disappointed! Wow … the food was AMAZING! The best food I have eaten in a very long time… so fresh and tasty. We had a set menu and every dish was exquisite… a real treat for the tastebuds … the crispy duck salad was probably my favourite due to its intensely refreshing flavours of the salad against the heat and crispness of the duck… we will definitely be back!"

"This is a great place. there is a great atmosphere here and eating is absolutely delicious. they seem particularly good for birthdays and are always happy to sing happy birthday and bring you a small cupcake. I would recommend the malbec and the limoncello as drinks. I would also say that the crumb and the mixed kebab are also delicious. the place is clean and looks good. I would definitely recommend this place."

"Fantastic evening for my birthday. at the arrival we were greeted at the door where we were asked to check into the NHS app or we gladly gave them our details to log into the system for us before we show ourselves on our table. cocktails and mocktails are amazing and they can really try the difference when they are made from fresh ingredients. the personal was always there to see and we didn't stay long between drinks and meals, which was fantastic even in a busy night. eating had many fabulous aromen was really good. they hold 2 for £12 cocktails, thurs, Friday 3-7pm floorless tapas mon-fri believe the times between 3-6 had a few drinks when we had to the tapas talk and bottomless brunch over the weeks. I am sure I can remember that they say that all the details are on the web page"

"The food was excellent. One suggestion would be for the salad dishes to contain more oriental leaves rather than lettuce and tomatoes being included in the dishes. Would also be great to have the bar at a level so one can see the chefs dealing with the ingredients as the bar wall is too high. One of the great things about eating in Japanese restaurants generally is the theatre of the chefs cooking which is not the case here."

"We were searching for somewhere new to visit for dinner around Reading and came across L’Ortolan. Even though online there were no tables available to book in the near future, they kindly accomodated us for a table on Saturday evening. The venue itself is set in a lovely Georgian rectory with beautiful trees surrounding it and there is plenty of parking available on site. We were greeted kindly and decided to have some drinks at the bar before going to our table. I opted for the festive cocktail which was gorgeous to look at and tasted even better. The decor inside the bar was intriguing, however in my humble opinion the restaurant section itself was a bit bare. As with most fine dining restaurants the menu itself is a taster menu with small set dishes, each with a burst of flavour. However, you do get the option to add on dishes like the Oscietra caviar tart or the cheese platter. You also get a choice of two dishes for the mains and the dessert. The caviar tart and the Gigha halibut were definitely the stars of the show for me, exquisite presentation and flavour combinations. All the staff and the sommelier provided excellent and helpful service. Alex particularly stood out to us. He was very welcoming, attentive, funny and friendly. We did thoroughly enjoy ourselves and will visit again if we are around Reading."
