back to visit, after new management 2020, 1:20 clock on Friday. the bar area much brighter than before. £18 for two courses during the weekday lunch is worth for money. the cheeseboard and the fish were in generous part. bar staff were friendly and now it has free wlan. View all feedback.

Visited last Friday and not impressed, definitely gone down hill. Atmosphere very cold, no seabream so ordered fish and chips to be told 20 mins later no fish and chips, and no other fish options. They do fish finger sandwiches but as it was after 5pm they wouldn't give us that option so we left without eating, not impressed at all. Visited the pub after a long walk with friends on a rainy Sunday. the service left much to wish, was not made as if our paragliding was particularly appreciated and there were a few occasions where beverage orders were misunderstood, but eating safely formed for it. albeit easy on the pricier side, everything was clear from a very high quality. I personally ordered the beef burger, who was juicy and tasteful, and the rustic pub style chips were as good as I had in a long time. all my friends ' ordered the roast and these looked beautiful. as I said if it wasn't for the service. the pub would have got my 5*s.
Lovely chilled pub with excellent homemade food and a steak and ale pie to die for!
Great food and great service, nothing was to much trouble, must have been 30 years since i was last in, will be calling again
What a find.Excellent environment , superb food,well trained and very polite staff with a good sense of humour. Furniture sooooo comfortable what a delight. Menu excellent portions large so be hungry. Will highly recommend and visit again. Thank you for delicious meals.
Beautifully refurbished, euthentic old pub, which has a great vibe. Food sublime. Happy, smiley service. Great place to visit when going to Chatsworth House. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
