"We were a party of 8 who hadn't made a reservation on a Saturday night we were kindly accommodated. It was all set menus which were lovely the kids menu at 11 euros was great value and so nice not to have the usual steak hache. would thoroughly recommend."

"We returned during a stay for the festival of marciac and it is always the best value for the region. The welcome is warm, one feels with friends, the homemade cuisine is tasteful with a very subtle use of spices, a treat. The quantities are generous for a more than reasonable price, you do not come out of table with hunger.Potage,Entrée dessert with wine and coffee for two, for 33€. Especially don't change anything, neither humor, nor quality, thank you again.A detail, the decor is very nice with what it takes of humor."

"Staying close by in a Friends’ beautifully restored chateau, (Chateau de Plehaut) we offered to take them to a typical local restaurant of their choosing. The short drive into the ‘town’ of Vic Fezensac brought us to the lovely centre ville with strands of lights and gorgeous bandstand which earlier in the year (we missed it) was packed with dancing locals here and all the way up the main streets. Alongside the square we mounted the several steps and checked the board menu for vegetarian options for 2 of our party ... satisfied we were catered for we were shown to a table for 5... not cramped for 4 or 2 pushed together ...NO a table for 5 and very comfortable even in the slight incline under the covered arched portico of the row of shops. The menu was again brought on the board showing it is fresh.. changed daily depending on availability of local produce and up to the minute in case of being sold out or not available. We ordered squid, lamb, ham, tomatoes, beer, water, bread and wine... just for starters and off went the waiter. We all did our best in French ... out of politeness and we’re made ourselves understood quite easily even with a few rough and ready translations but the waiter stayed with us and didn’t criticise and didn’t offer English. If you’re travelling this far and in these times I believe you’ll get by even if google translate had to step in. Internet was fast and available. A small ‘muse bouche’ of air dried ham* arrived and was excellent. The main course of vegetarian salad, lamb shank and a larger plate of ‘truire de montagne*‘ all came quickly with more bread and our veggies said it was the best salad they had tasted... there certainly was plenty of it. A good selection of Home made desserts and fresh coffee rounded off a lovely dinner at less than €30 per head... indeed the current exchange rate is not good but that’s not their fault... enough said!!! The terrace was full of locals by the end of the evening and very pleasant they all were too. Enough choice to ensure we can come again and get a different meal. Really nicely done."
